Clovis Family’s Second Loss in Iraq   (Back)

The city of Clovis and  members of UFCW 8 are sharing the grief of Peggy and Jeff Hubbard, who lost two of their three sons in action in Iraq.

     Hundreds of mourners watched

silently from the sidewalks of Clovis as a military procession carried the casket of Army Cpl. Nathan Hubbard to Clovis

Memorial Cemetery on Aug. 31.

    Hubbard, 21, died with 13 other

soldiers in a helicopter crash on

Aug. 22.

    He was buried next to his brother Jared, a Marine lance corporal

who was killed by a roadside bomb in 2004 at age 22.

At Nathan Hubbard’s

funeral, military officials

presented Jeff and Peggy

Hubbard with a Bronze Star in

Nathan’s honor for his service

in Iraq.
