The city of Clovis and members of UFCW
8 are sharing the grief of Peggy and Jeff Hubbard, who lost two of their
three sons in action in Iraq. Hundreds of mourners watched silently from the
sidewalks of Clovis as a military procession carried the casket of Army Cpl.
Nathan Hubbard to Clovis Memorial Cemetery on
Aug. 31. Hubbard, 21, died with 13 other soldiers in a
helicopter crash on Aug. 22. He was buried next to his brother Jared,
a Marine lance corporal who was killed by a
roadside bomb in 2004 at age 22. Peggy Hubbard works in the floral
department at Vons 1756 in Clovis. “On behalf of the staff and members of UFCW 8, we extend our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Hubbard family during this tragic time,” President |
